Refrigerator Dills

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water
  • 1 cup vinegar (dark cider)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons canning salt
  • 1 head dill
  • 1 clove garlic
  • cucumber

Recipe

  • 1 put 1 head of dill (or more) and 1 clove garlic in each quart jar.
  • 2 or use 1 gallon jar with 5 heads dill and 4 garlic cloves.
  • 3 add cucumbers whole or sliced, to jar.
  • 4 pour boiling solution over cucumbers in jar.
  • 5 let stand overnight at room temperature.
  • 6 next morning put lids on jars and put in refrigerator.
  • 7 keeps all winter.
  • 8 solution is exactly enough for 1 gallon jar.
