Gingerbread

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 3/4 cup shortening 
- 2 large eggs 
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 
- 1 teaspoon ginger 
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 
- 3/4 cup sorghum 
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 
- 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg 
- 1 cup buttermilk 
- 1/2 cup raisins 
Recipe
- 1 cream together shortening, eggs, sugar and syrup; add buttermilk. 
- 2 sift dry ingredients together and add to wet mixture. 
- 3 mix well, pour into a greased and floured pan.
