Ribs With Cider-bourbon Glaze

Ingredients

- 4 lbs beef ribs
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced yellow onion
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Recipe
- 1 cut the ribs into singles.
- 2 place them in a large pot or dutch oven and fill with water to cover.
- 3 simmer over medium heat for two hours, occasionally adding water to cover as needed.
- 4 in a small bowl, whisk together cider, bourbon, garlic, onion, and melted butter.
- 5 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 6 remove the beef ribs from the simmering and let drain well.
- 7 brush the ribs with the cider/bourbon glaze.
- 8 place them in a roasting pan and cover with foil, then bake for 30 to 45 minutes.
- 9 baste ribs occasionally with pan drippings, until ribs are fork-tender and well-browned.
- 10 serves 2 hungry folks.
