Too Easy Granola Bars (muesli Bars)

Ingredients

- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- sultanas, apricots, dates (your choice, chop first and optional) or fig (your choice, chop first and optional)
Recipe
- 1 in a large bowl mix the rolled oats, brown sugar, wheat germ, cinnamon, and flour; stir.
- 2 in large measuring jug add the honey, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla; mix.
- 3 make a well and add the wet to the dry and mix like mad.
- 4 generously grease an 18x28cm (9x13 inch) tray.
- 5 pour in mixture; press with your fingertips.
- 6 bake at 175 degrees celsius or 350 degrees fahrenheit for 30 to 35 minutes (or until the sides are golden).
- 7 cool for 5 minutes.
- 8 slice into even fingers while warm (it will be too hard once cold).
- 9 cool in the baking tin.
- 10 keep in a well sealed jar for up to 5 days.
