Hot Lemon Rum Toddy

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 lemon, juice of
  • 1 -2 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, peeled and sliced (cherry-tomato size)
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 ounce dark rum

Recipe

  • 1 in a small pot over medium heat place all ingredients except rum. simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • 2 in a large mug pour about 1-2 fingers of dark rum. pour contents of small pot through a strainer into the mug.
  • 3 sip while hot.
  • 4 go straight to bed.
