The Real Italian Tiramisu

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • cocoa powder
  • coffee
  • 500 g mascarpone cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 120 g sugar
  • 400 g ladyfingers

Recipe

  • 1 beat the egg yolks with sugar until you get something like an eggnog then add the mascarpone cheese and mix well the mixture.
  • 2 whisk the egg whites until stiff with a pinch of salt.gently add to the mix and work with care.
  • 3 make coffee and add 2 tablespoon of sugar.
  • 4 prepare a roasting pan or tray.
  • 5 dip the savoiardi in the coffee and form a layer then spread on a generous coat of cream.
  • 6 sprinkle entire surface with cocoa.
  • 7 continue like this for three layers or more if you prefer.
  • 8 place the tiramisù in the fridge for a few hours before serving.
