Smarties Cookie

Ingredients

- 4 ounces butter
- 4 ounces light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 6 ounces self-rising flour
- 3 ounces smarties candies (2 to 3 tubes )
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven 180 degrees celsius, gas 4.
- 2 beat butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.
- 3 beat in the syrup.
- 4 work in half the flour.
- 5 stir in the smarties with the remaining flour.
- 6 work the dough together with your fingers.
- 7 divide into 14 balls.
- 8 place them well apart on a baking sheet; do not flatten.
- 9 bake for 12 minutes until pale golden at the edges only.
- 10 cool on a wire rack.
- 11 these will keep for 4 days in a container.
