Smörkranser - Butter Wreath Cookies

Ingredients

- 1 egg
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup almonds, blanched and shredded
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400°f.
- 2 beat egg, salt and sugar together until fluffy and sugar is completely dissolved.
- 3 add vanilla and almonds and blend well.
- 4 add flour and butter, kneading it when stiff enough to handle.
- 5 force through a spritz cookie press onto a cookie sheet.
- 6 bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
