Smörkranser - Butter Wreath Cookies

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 36
  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup almonds, blanched and shredded
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400°f.
  • 2 beat egg, salt and sugar together until fluffy and sugar is completely dissolved.
  • 3 add vanilla and almonds and blend well.
  • 4 add flour and butter, kneading it when stiff enough to handle.
  • 5 force through a spritz cookie press onto a cookie sheet.
  • 6 bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
