tanya's ginger punch

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 (1 inch) pieces crystallized ginger
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 liter lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

    Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins Ready Time: 30 mins

  • in a sauce pan, combine water, sugar, crystallized ginger and cinnamon sticks. bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • pour syrup into a pitcher. add orange, pineapple and lemon juice. chill in refrigerator. when ready to serve, pour into a punch bowl and slowly add the lemon-lime soda.
