The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 sift the flour, baking soda, and salt into a bowl and set aside.
- 3 in a stand mixer, cream the butter and the two sugars.
- 4 scrape down the bowl.
- 5 beat the eggs and vanilla in a small bowl.
- 6 add this to the butter mixture and blend well.
- 7 add the flour mixture until just mixed.
- 8 add the chocolate chips.
- 9 drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, about 2 inches apart.
- 10 cook for about 10 minutes.
- 11 the center of the cookies will appear to be slightly underbaked- do not overcook or the cookies will be crispy instead of chewy.
- 12 remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes on the cookie sheet and then move to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
