Fried Mozzarella Cheese

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 40 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 300 g mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • salt and black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • oil, to fry
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs

Recipe

  • 1 cut cheese into 2 1/2 inch length and 3/4 inch thickness.
  • 2 keep aside.
  • 3 beat eggs in a bowl, one at a time, until light and fluffy.
  • 4 add flour and mix well until smooth.
  • 5 mix in salt, black pepper and thyme.
  • 6 heat oil in a wok.
  • 7 dip the cheese cubes one by one in the batter.
  • 8 then roll them one by one in breadcrumbs.
  • 9 deep fry the cubes now in hot oil until golden brown.
  • 10 remove onto clean paper kitchen napkins to drain out excess oil.
  • 11 serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
