Scotch Shortbread

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 3/4 cups flour

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter until soft, gradually adding sugar creaming until fluffy.
  • 2 mix in flour, beat until crumbly.
  • 3 turn into an ungreased 13x9 pan.
  • 4 press with gently with fingers into a even and firm layer.
  • 5 prick evenly with a fork, you may wish to sprinkle the top with a little additional sugar.
  • 6 bake at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes until lightly browned.
  • 7 let cool for 5 minutes before cutting into"finger" shaped cookies.
