Scotch Shortbread

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 3/4 cups flour
Recipe
- 1 cream butter until soft, gradually adding sugar creaming until fluffy.
- 2 mix in flour, beat until crumbly.
- 3 turn into an ungreased 13x9 pan.
- 4 press with gently with fingers into a even and firm layer.
- 5 prick evenly with a fork, you may wish to sprinkle the top with a little additional sugar.
- 6 bake at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes until lightly browned.
- 7 let cool for 5 minutes before cutting into"finger" shaped cookies.
