Grandma's Caramel Corn

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 6 quarts popped popcorn
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 melt the butter in a medium saucepan.
  • 2 add sugar, corn syrup and salt.
  • 3 bring the mixture to a boil and then add soda and vanilla.
  • 4 pour over popcorn.
  • 5 place on 2 (12x20) baking sheets.
  • 6 bake at 250 degrees for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • 7 store in an airtight container.
