Miso Pate

Ingredients

- 2 cups broken pieces whole wheat bread
- 1/2 cup water or 1/2 cup broth
- 1/4 cup tahini sesame butter or 1/4 cup almond butter or 1/4 cup smooth cashew butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons red miso or 1 1/2 tablespoons barley miso or 1 1/2 tablespoons hatcho miso
- 1 small onion
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1/4 cup minced parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon sage
Recipe
- 1 combine bread and water, mashing well with fingers.
- 2 mix in the remaining ingredients, and allow to stand for at least 1 hour, preferably 1 full day.
- 3 serve as a spread on crackers, or for a sandwich with sprouts, onions and tomatoes.
